FRUIT HEIGHTS — Dutch oven cooking, seed propagation, canning and filtering water, are just a few of the topics that will be covered in the Tri-City Emergency Preparedness Fair that will be held Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Fruit Heights.
The cities of Fruit Heights, Farmington and Kaysville alternate hosting the annual event, presented to help residents prepare for any eventual emergency.
This year’s event will fill three buildings: Fruit Heights’ city hall, at 910 S. Mountain Road, and two nearby churches: the Mountain Road Evangelical Presbyterian Church, at 796 S. Mountain Road, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Mountain Road building, at 901 S. Mountain Road.
Demonstrations and vendors are part of the fair, which will also include the Farmington and Kaysville fire departments, information on radon from the Davis County Health Department, and the mobile control center from the Davis County Sheriff’s Office. Information on evacuation plans and poison control, merit badges and earthquake preparations are also scheduled for the fair.
